Gutter guards that keep the Lowcountry out of your gutters

Live oaks drop leaves all spring and pines drop needles all fall. A good guard keeps that out, so your gutters keep flowing and you are not on a ladder twice a year.

  • Stainless micro-mesh
  • Aluminum and copper covers
  • Fit to new or existing gutters

The right guard depends on what is above your roof

There is no single best gutter guard. Big flat oak leaves, sharp pine needles, and the fine grit that washes off shingles all behave differently. We look at the trees over your house and the shape of your roof, then recommend the guard that handles what actually falls on it.

Guards go on new or existing gutters, as long as the gutters are in good shape. If yours are leaking, sagging, or the wrong size, we will tell you, because a guard on a bad gutter just hides the problem.

We are also straight about maintenance. Guards cut cleaning way down, but nothing that sits outside under trees is zero maintenance. Most guards need a quick rinse or brush-off every year or two, and we can do that for you.

Every guard install includes

  • A full gutter cleaning and flush first
  • A check of slope, seams, and hangers
  • Guards fit and fastened to stay put in high wind
  • Downspouts cleared and tested
  • Before and after photos of the work

Questions about gutter guards

Are gutter guards worth it in Charleston?

For most homes with trees nearby, yes. Between spring oak leaves and fall pine needles, uncovered gutters here fill up fast. Guards keep them flowing and cut down how often anyone needs to get on a ladder.

Will guards work with pine needles?

The right ones will. Pine needles slip through many cheap guards and get stuck. Stainless micro-mesh is what we recommend under pines.

Do gutter guards mean I never clean my gutters again?

No guard is zero maintenance. Most need a quick brush-off or rinse every year or two. That is still a lot less work than cleaning open gutters two or three times a year.

Can you put guards on my existing gutters?

Usually, yes, if the gutters are in good shape. If they are leaking or sagging, we will fix that first or tell you if replacement makes more sense.
